Building A Returning Clientele or an Impressed Management
Once you are Hired! or received the authorization to move forward with the sale, there are still a number of steps to be adhered to. Why? Because the journey is a forever upward spiral. It isn’t over until you decide to retire.
1. Getting agreement to move forward
Hearty thank you’s to either the new manager or client is expected and should be delivered in the following ways. An immediate verbal thank you. Send your client a quick email outlining expectations as previously agreed upon. Send everyone who helped you a Thank You note – handwritten. The note sending should include both the recruiter, if one was involved, as well as the hiring manager.
2. Check in for remaining on track
Initially, frequent checking in with clients to make certain they are happy or if difficulties arose that you may fix will make them even more satisfied with their deicsion. Have the manager fast track you for completion of requirements and settling into your new position.
3. Establish a returning and referring clientele – FYI management is your clientele
Acknowledge milestones you have reached, check for satisfaction, and gain agreement the others were happy to have chosen you. Once this is in motion, your clientele may be asked for referrals and testimonials. Keeping management happy with your progress will enable you, when the time is right, to ask for a promotion.
