The question surprised me because it came from a prominent businessman. He was seriously wanting to know the answer so that he could begin attracting similar opportunities for himself. I was surprised that the strategy wasn’t clear and began to tell him my “magic formula”.
My magic formula to attract opportunity of all types including getting the right interview or speaking opportunities is ~ build relationships with everyone as you never know where the next referral will call from. The second part to the formula is “over-deliver value on everything you do.” All of my speaking engagements and interviews are derived directly from referrals.
