Tools for Advancement

From time to time we all make errors.  The best thing to do, and do it immediately, is to acknowledge the error of your way and say “I’m sorry”.   When you are upfront about the error, almost all people will forgive you.  And for the tiny percentage who do not, they probably weren’t a good fit anyway.  This holds true for your personal life, business and career.  At the same time, we each need to remember to be forgiving when others tell us the same.

At the opposite side of the spectrum is to say “Thank you” for any type of help you receive.  A smile plus saying thank you go a long way to forment relationships and build sales.

Lastly, offering help wherever you may be, on the job, at a client, in the supermarket – when you see someone in need of help, offer it and give it to the best of your ability.  You may never see that person again, but you will be remembered.  And on a rare occasion, that person just might hold influence where you are next trying to reach someone in charge.

We all know how to do these things, but sometimes in our rush,  they are forgotten.  Being prepared with these tools will lead you to the Smooth Sale!
