Communication Style Reveals Your Brand
We hear about personality styles. Some recruiters provide personality tests for their clients in order to get a better handle on which type of position they are best suited. At the same time, entrepreneurs should be keenly aware as to their unique personality style too.
Our personalities dictate how we communicate. It could be soft, aggressive, direct or a combination of many types. As business people, it’s vitally important to cue into what type of personality your prospective client or employer has. Becoming adept at this will have you communicating better with others and achieving your goals far more easily.
Here is a word of caution though for two opposite types:
Those who are direct and to the point, need to be aware that their style may potentially offend others. So in a corporate environment or sitting with a shy potential client, it will be wise to soften your approach. And those who are shy should practice stepping up to the plate to bat prior to an interview or client meeting.
As you become comfortable with various styles, you will become seen as a person easy to work with and the likelihood of increasing business or career opportunity will easily come your way. In fact, you will enjoy the Smooth Sale!
