Thought to Action
On occasion, I hear a nice compliment but it took me a long time to recognize those wonderful statements need to be captured for a career boost or promotion of business. The minute I was told to ask permission to capture the words, I began doing so. I just posted a wonderful comment upon being itntrviewed by Jim Beach, host of School for Startups Radio, as it is very appropriate for my Speaking page.
Today’s blog is about passing along the great advice. When you hear something appropriate for your endeavor, ask permission to use their words. If the grammar is not quite perfect, fix it and send back – of course I’m referring to doing this by email so that you may add to your permissions folder. And in this way, too, you have easy access for whenever you are in need of a nice quote.
The same is true for referrals. When you have an interaction you enjoy, ask your client if they know of anyone else that might enjoy the same. Generally speaking, like minded people hangout together.
Likewise, when a thought occurs to you whether it’s contacting an old friend or pursuing a new possibility, the time to take action is right then. You will notice a big difference in your business development and sales efforts. These tips should lead you to the Smooth Sale!
